Hi due to a bizarre last minute decision I find myself needing to get from Leeds back to London by any route tmmr. I have non protected Priv, and can travel for free with any Govia TOC. I also have an unused open return Bham -Eus. I have all day to get back so don't mind going via some odd 'Portillio' type route. Any interesting routes/splits? Thanks for any help.

The one that sprang to mind was Leeds - Manchester (£4.85 or £4.15 via Hebden Bridge) and Manchester - Crewe (£3.40 or £2.70 VT Only).

London Midland from Crewe would then be free all the way to Euston as it's Govia

Thats a great call-given poor forecast tmmr up here could visit some Manchester museums. Off topic but I can honestly say that Scarborough Cricket Club rocking with 4000 happy supporters in perfect weather is up there with any great sporting experience.

Best cricket ground in the country in my opinion, and I have no links to Yorkshire.
