BYD "Build Your Dreams" electric bus on route 98, which goes from Willesden Bus Garage to Russell Square. I go from Kilburn to Edgware Road. The five models, built by Chinese manufactures BYD, will be able to travel 180 miles on a single charge. I am looking for more information on the buses and any press releases as suggested...

What do you think? Btw quality is bad because I used my old phone

I wouldn't say that was bad quality for a mobile video on a bus! It sounds like it'd feel a smoother ride without a big diesel engine throbbing away behind you, if that makes sense. On the downside that means you can hear everyone else's conversations! Would've liked to have seen the outside though.

I liked your captioned commentary too!

Thanks for all the feedback, but don't you find the positioning of the iBus very weird? I had to squint to make out what it said.

From what I've read, there has only been sporadic use of these buses in the several months since they were introduced, averaging 2 buses out of the 5 per day. They were originally meant to be trialled on the 16 - maybe Willesden Garage has better recharging facilities than Cricklewood.

Yeah, correct - I thought the trial was going to end when one of the buses was taken out of service for a long time, then another one was released, if you know what I mean. Check LVF, it explains better than me

Must say I vastly prefer the 04-reg Presidents over these on the 98. At least the Presidents have properly upholstered seats.

Actually, Imo the president seats are disgustingly uncomfortable, that's why I despise the new go-ahead MHVs!! I like Esteban upholstery as well as lazzerini on most enviros.

Just a shame everything Chinese seems to come with naff 'toy shop' styling. The King Long stuff is the same, always has a look of being slightly awkward and cheap.
