I take it you don't like Brewdog then? There's another brewery I'd recommend, although they haven't snatched the crown from Wychwood (my favourite brewery)

I don't dislike Brewdog ( and when they were new they were innovative) just think there is a massive amount of hype and hipster sheep lapping up what they are told is cool.

Real Ale for me. Not such a fan of Doom Bar which seems to be everywhere but I see it as a "gateway real ale" - i.e. people will try it, like it and then perhaps try some other real ale and move on.

Some craft beer is OK and some is vile.

My current favourite real ale is Triple Goat Porter from Hornes in Bow Brickhill (Milton Keynes). But I will always try a real ale I've never had before in preference to one I have unless it is flavoured with flowers or fruit.

Lager and cider have their place but I don't consume either regularly.

that is a GOOD porter - for a cockney pint it really isn't bad

This weekend at the Huddersfield Food and Drink festival I tried a very tasty pale ale from local brewery Mallinsons. Wagner's Gold, it was called- of course it sold out by 1830 on Saturday!

When you say "normally" do you mean "traditionally"? Because from the names both should be, but I've never once encountered an alcoholic ginger ale- and only Crabbies (and their home-brand imitators) with ginger beer. I'm not a particularly young person either...

Lagers mainly for me. Just your bob standard Fosters, Stella, Tuborg, Carlsberg etc. Other favourites also include Corona, Coors light, San Miguel and Red Horse Filipino beer.

As for Whisky, Chivas, JD or Aberfeldy. Can only enjoy it on the rocks though.

Bajan Rum punch - 1 part lime, 2 part sugar, 3 part Mount Gay, 2 part water, 1 part orange juice, 1 part pineapple juice + a good helping of agustura bitters.

Failing that, a nice dark rum n coke or a nice syrah red wine from the French Languedoc Roussillon region

None of the above gives me a hangover, everything else tastes and feels like poison to me.
