Crewe Gresty Bridge Open Day 2016

Hi guts,

Will be heading to DRS's Crewe Gresty Bridge Open Day, bought my £5 ticket months ago. I reckon it's going to be another overcrowded event much like St Phillips Marsh Open Day and the rain will feature too. Anbody know what to expect and what loco's will feature? Can't find anything on the DRS website about the visiting loco's....

No rain today unlike 2 years ago but no class 88 either unless DRS sneaked it into the country under the dead of night like in a spy mission and plan a massive surprise on everyone. Reports are there aren't that many if only 1 class 68 there either. I know there's a Deltic D9009, 37424 in it's new large logo, 20303 newly given the "Max Joule" nameplates from 20301 and 20305. What else is there is waiting to be viewed.

37558 was unveiled with it's new number (37558) and name (Avro Vulcan XH558), but many Class 68's were active, they are the most active locomotive in the DRS fleet, so wasn't surprised only one 68 was at the venue. I saw two on the Daventry to Mossend run yesterday morning and one running light in and around Crewe so knew it wouldn't be a huge turnout for the 68's.

68014 was sent from Wembley LMD to the depot around 3ish.
