What's the best ticket combination for this? The hours will be 7:30am-4:30pm and the workplace is a few minutes walk from Redhill station.

Simply Oyster use is overpriced, so I think I will need a paper ticket for some portion of the journey.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

A Redhill-Zones 1-6 Travelcard is £67.40 per week or £2696.00 for an annual. You can buy tickets for any period between one month and a year (for a period until a holiday for example). This gives you unlimited travel between Redhill and the edge of Zone 6, and anywhere within Zones 1-6 (and all TfL buses).

There may be cheaper tickets available by "splitting" or buying to a different destination, but this is the obvious option. You could do it entirely on TfL buses (£21.50/wk) but I'm assuming you will want the quickest route!

A Zones 1-6 travelcard will cover you if you are prepared to get off the Southern or Thameslink train at Coulsdon South and catch the 405 bus the rest of the way to Redhill (and vice versa in the evening).

I get £86.60 for a 7 day season unless i'm reading incorrectly.

Yeah, I already checked that on the NR website. :)

Should work out quite cheaply once you factor in the inevitable frequent 'Delay Repay' refunds!

Oh yeah, almost forgot about the Southern train crew shortage issue. On the other hand, I haven't had problems with GTR for ages, touch wood.
