I spotted, what i think to be, a Class 42/43 Warship in the blue shed at old oak common. Specifically, in the middle road (think it's the "b" track) of the shed.

Does anyone know why it there / what's going on with it?

+Admins please correct the auto correct thread title error! (Thanks!)

Believe this will be D821 Greyhound, owned by the Diesel Traction Group and at Old Oak Common for overhaul - the Group's website seems to favour D1015 Western Champion, so the last update is from 2014.

Did a NR survey at Old Oak Commin recently (within the last month) and found the Warship like you said. Ianigsy is correct, it is D821 Greyhound.

Thanks,
Ross

Where will it be moved to when this part of Old Oak Common closes? Who is actually responsible for its overhaul?

My first thought on looking at the thread title was that some RN Navigation Officer was for a carpeting... (Sub-Lieutenant Phillips strikes again!)

it was hard enough to get it up the bloody canal - you try parking it in that tiny shed ;)

"Left hand down a bit, chuck out the anchor and whoa!". Nothing like radio comedy to give away one's age!

I had a short cab ride in that warship about 1972 at Plymouth.
