Well we need somebody to book a B&B or travelodge or summat and i don't do complicated things like that otherwise there would be some farce so i'll leave it to those who have done these things before.

What, such as a farce involving one bed and a sofa for 4 people?

I'm booking this one,Karen Ford at Spitfire has advised me any cheques they receive for this tour would probably not get cashed until 4 weeks before the date, when pathing is all approved from NR.
Wish all the Promoters were like that.

Will join at Didcot for the journey to Newcastle.

The costings are fantastic, got to be the best value around hav'nt they? Obviously low over heads and not putting a huge mark up.

I would be very interested, but I best enjoy a tour with heads out but I fear that would be strictly forbidden :|

Which reminds me, can you chase up the others who were umming and erring about doing it. Rooms are going up in price and I'm afraid I'll have to pass the cost onto the customer!

Mr 87015, cant remember if I've asked you...?

I'll be seeing Mr Sheen at Barrow Hill and mr parker has promised me a call in the morning as he was at work when I tried this afternoon. Will try and find out soon with the inflation rates these days

Judging by Spitfire's approach last saturday on the Cleethorpes, heads are fine, its when you put half your body and arm out that they have a problem. Thankfully there seemed to be no issues last saturday and a very sociable day was had in some very nice stock!

The tour has been rerouted to Blackpool North vice Newcastle (which will probably please Mr EE Type 3 as it is closer to phot), on the plus side for the passengers it will feature an assult of Miles Platting on the return, just hope std is at the back out of Poole on the morning!

Not what the spitfire team are expecting if conversations last week are anything to go by - 676 and/or 706 mentioned.

16svt on WNXX said:
Funny you should say that, At the moment it SHOULD be 37712 with either 676 or 706. Only timed will tell.

..And he does work for WCRC so I would think he knows what he is talking about!

The engine needs to do more work in 37/4s than a 37/0. Though don't hold me on that.

Yes, but now is the case that 37/4s are working passenger trains that they can't heat, remember they were originally modified to work 4-6 coach trains, the ETH index isn't that high. So usually a genny van is provided these days. So no need for the ETH.
