According to my sources, yes they are due a third vehicle in March, alongside one for Express Motors aswell to the same specifications also due in March

Very nice, can't wait to sample them. Least the 3rd Scania decker is now receiving its repairs and the announcements are now functioning (except for the E200) although some of the stops have been missed out when the audio announces 'Y safle bws nesa fydd.. The next stop is..' and doesn't announce the stop itself.

It's also on the T1, unfortunately when the Welsh Government recorded the stops for Hannover Displays, some stops were missed out and additional ones were added whilst on route testingv. I know this as I helped out during the implementation of the next stop announcements on the T1

Did sample a T1 Enviro300 (SL63GBF) during my previous visit to Aberystwyth and the screen was dark, could barely see the green and white background on the screen. Oh very good, must of been interesting.

All you need to read out is the stop name, perhaps with a suitable "bong" before to get your attention as the Germans do. I do find unnecessarily verbose messages irritating, but I suspect that regular passengers will have learned to blank the announcements out. I also think they will do the same however it's worded, but it's the infrequent users that are the ones that will benefit most anyway.

Changes to service T3 from Monday 29th February. Services from Wrexham will depart earlier to allow more running time to Dolgellau to offer better connections to Aberystwyth and Bangor.

Delivered within the last hour are two brand new ADL Enviro MMC double deckers to Lloyds Coaches for operation of the X28 service. The are registered LC61/62 WYN taking the registrations of the two current deckers which are to be sold. The new vehicles will enter service this week.

I wonder whether the Scania-E400 deckers operate set journeys from Wrexham to Barmouth or just random journeys as convenient.

I hope GHA have a joint day ticket to cover this route and others of theirs in Chester, Mold etc and X50/52.

You have the Bws About day and weekly tickets which are valid on the X50/ X52, T3 and other subsided services in Denbighshire & Flintshire. Unfortunately, you can only travel between Wrexham and Cynwyd/ Llandrillo I believe with the Bws About on the T3.

Thank you for letting me know. I was prepared that Barmouth was likely to be classed too far west. I can buy the Bws About ticket, then when I board the T3 ask for an excess fare to Barmouth.

I have arranged a night at Barmouth in May so that I can ride a Scania on route T3 and thus enjoy the scenery from a double-decker.

You can also purchase a Gwynedd Red Rover for £6.80 which covers the whole T3 route to Barmouth. Not too familiar with the fares on the T3, just the day tickets.

I think GHA try to ensure a double-decker works the services which suit the starting and finishing times at Dolgellau Coleg Meirion Dwyfor, which makes it more difficult to work-out which bus does what from the timetable!

When I sampled the service, the 0950 ex Barmouth and the 1230 Wrexham-Dolgellau were deckers, although that was on a schoolday - it could be different again during college holidays! I also saw the 0825 ex Barmouth, which was also a decker, as that serves the college at 0849.

I hope you manage to get one, as the view from the upstairs front seats is quite spectacular - at least between Barmouth and Ruabon!

P.S. The journey cost me nothing - but being above a certain age and residing in Wales helped!!

A Traws Cambria timetable from Summer 1995 when Porth to Holyhead was the full route. My dad and I did Cardiff to Holyhead. £20.00 single which the driver had to consult his fare table for. I felt that the change of vehicles between Rhondda Bus and Crosville Cymru at Aberystwyth should have been indicated.

The timetable seemed generous but we were travelling on an out of season Saturday. Due to losing the nearside wing mirror of the Crosville Cymru Van Hool in a hedge after Caernarfon, after a delay at Bangor Bus station a Leyland Lynx was driven extremely hard for the last leg for an elderly couple to an intermediate stop and my father and I to Holyhead. I do recall the driver folding the mirror in pass through the archway on the the Menai Bridge

Looks like whoever made that page put the wrong link there to me.

T2 doesn't serve Bala. It's a misprint on the TrawsCymru website.

Seems like their quality control is rather lacking, the map on the 'our network' page still has the mysterious railway branch to Builth Wells too, and the Milford Haven line is only shown as far as Haverfordwest. I can understand them leaving the ValleyLines off the map for reasons of clarity, but why is Milford Haven missing?
