Scunthorpe hasn't got electric wires or third rail.
So if it is an electric freight loco, it has a very big battery.
I guess it's false.

Always used to be a 92 Dollands Moor to Doncaster, not sure whether that is still the case.

Anyone know what this is usually operated by?

Apparently it's the only electric freight train on the ECML, is this true?

Regards,
Leo

I've seen it running with double headed Class 66's.

No. As per the above replies, that service has not been 92-hauled
for several years - whoever told you otherwise must have a very
out of date edition of Freightmaster!! ;)

I already listed the trains which are 92-hauled in Southern England in
the Good places to see class 92s topic you started the other day...

Ahhh pity that, not easy to catch a 92 these days, and when I saw this I thought it was my chance. Thanks for the clarification. Just got a copy of the April to June 2016 Freightmaster book, time to get to work!

For a minute I wondered if this was the returning empties from the steel slab exported for rolling and use abroad, then I remembered that one of the Scunthorpe steelworks was demolished and replaced by an inland port/container terminal!
