Extra London Midland trains Crewe to Euston?

So 2 extra trains per hour will be able to run from Crewe to Euston? Will they be London Midland ones? Also states an extra train per hour Manchester to Birmingham. Again, will this be London Midland? Can't seem to find any more info on here or by searching the web.

No, there wont be two extra trains per hour, in the evening peak there will be to Crewe. Can't see anything about an extra Manchester to Birmingham either (which there won't be)

ISTR that the peak one that presently runs via Northampton will terminate there and a separate one will run to Crewe via Weedon.

I guess the stock to do it will be freed up by more 319s in service.

I'm sure it didn't say that on the business case.
It would parrot the NR line about more paths in all directions.
It's like the extra capacity at Manchester Airport - ask for bids and then refuse them all.

No point timetabling extra trains if you can't run the existing ones. Last northbound train from Stone today was the 1650 (1U39, 1446 from Euston) - no 1750, no 1945, no 2105.

Depends how you define considered, the CP5 plan allocated £36m to assist the Dft in HS2 and develop network interfaces (junctions between the networks).
