It is for a new standalone simulator called "World Of Subways". He actually stated that in the first post though. 8)

YEah tried it out this morning.

I really like some of the stuff they have done, and especially the ability to get out and walk around.

Within minutes I scuppered myself by dropping onto the tracks hoping (viciously) to be killed by the power supply. Sadly I was not. But what was more suprising was that I was unable to get back onto the platform, and infact back into the train at all. It seems the 'Enter Cab' key only works if you are at the door to the cab, and not from just anywhere.

I ordered this sim today, i'm getting it because i upgraded my graphics card recently to a nvidia geforce 9400gt which doesn't run bve, i saw this sim when i was browsing the web and thought it looked really good. Does anyone know if you will ever be able to get the london underground for it?

Alot of the UK fna shave posted asking for an LUL version, but the next has been confirmed as the Berlin Subway which will be a remake of their route for MSTS, but to these new standards.

Theres no talk yet about an LUL addon, only that it could be dificult for them to get permission or sufficient data.

Personally I think this game looks great, but lacks vastly in the simulation aspect and feel of driving a train. Using a First Person Shooter engine I dont think TML have done enough to get away from the feeling its just an FPS game trying to be a trainsim.

I think the idea of using an FPS engine is an excellent idea, this way i may even be able to make my own routes for it as i have experience from making maps for counter strike source, however it not using the source engine my experience may be redundant.

that's a good point, my last map took me about 3 months, yeah it was a big map is far as css maps go... but still not that big although it only took as long as that because I would frequently get annoyed with hammer editor and its glitches so would leave it for ages, if i was to make a route it would take me a while, but then i'm in no hurry to finish anything.

So does anyone know the approximate time for making a 20 mile route take? I'm guessing how long it is till december because thats when it's released. The berlin subway that is.
If you had to vote on what london underground or london transport route the WOS should eventually do what would it be:

I think underground I would pick Northern Line but the DLR would be cool and easy to get a cab view.

But for sub level I would go for the Metropolitan Line: Aldgate to Uxbridge, that way it could be a Piccadilly line project as well.

If the Berlin Subway is going to be a remake of the MSTS version does that mean we can use the MSTS videos as a sort of preview of what it is going to be like.

For WOS i think they should make the northern line or jubilee line, northern line cos it's the line that ran through where i used to live, but jubilee line cos i'm curious as to how accurately they would do the 96ts and PED's. Although the met line would be good as it is long and has contrasting scenery along the route. I'll stop there cos i'd find a reason for every underground route if i continue, they should make the entire tube.

I agree about the 1996 stock, love those sounds, similar to the sounds from my local running train; Class 465's and the occasional 375 going to Ramsgate.

The technolgy used in the 96ts that makes that sound derived from the class 465, however the 96ts still has a better sound

I at last got world of subways, graphics are amazing in it but i still feel that there is something lacking. But thats just my opinion. I still think BVE is the best so far, I hope bve5 offers compatibility for nvidia graphics cards.

I just going to give a reason for every underground route.

Bakerloo - Curious as to how they will do they WCML on the overground.

Central - 1992 stock would be cool, see if they do ATO, and the juntions at liverpool street and other junctions.

Circle - Love to see a variety of LU stocks going past, like the C stock, A stock and D stock. The junction at High Steet Kensington, how dark it would be between Farringdon and Kigs Cross.

District - Love to see how it runs through Hammersmith & City line.

East London Line - Would be awsome. And see the juntion for New Cross Gate or New Cross and see Southeastern mainline at New Cross because it's my local line.

H&C - Love to see the variety of trains, and it would be cool to see all the viaducts in the game.

Jubilee - Like you said it would be intresting to see how accurate the sounds could be and the PED's. Would love the signaling, and the announcments are cool.

Metropolitan - Pretty much what you said, and the A60 stock would be good, but I would like to see how they do the A60 and 1973 stocks going past.

Northern - WOW! My favourite line to be honest love the sounds of the trains sounds like a faint version of the Class 375, awsome. Plus the old signaling. Cool to go into Morden Depot.

Piccadilly - Cool to see the D78 stocks and A60 stocks go by D78's at Baron Court. And they would include the Heathrow Terminal 5.

Victoria - Again ATO would be cool, and the end of the line buffers, depot: northumberland after seven sisters. Plus bwing able to use the 2009 stock.

Waterloo And City - Prob to come out with anouther root becuase of how small it is but it would be cool to use.

Overall for all lines: Love to drive the stocks and especially the older stocks such as; Bakerloo - 1972 MkII or 1938 stocks.

Sorry if this has been asked already but where can i buy the world of subways game from. I carn't seem to find it in any shops. I found other sim games like bus and truck games.

Its the World of subways one i want. Also my pc has Micro train sim, BVE, on it. I don't want to delete them off. Will there still be room for world of subs on it. Its a fearly new PC and the graghics card is fine (i think).

Is there any add ons coming out for world of subs ? - Berlin was mentioned i think, anymore news on that.

The berlin subway is already being created as you know and as for new york I think that it should wait untill some other countries.

Apparrently they are going to try and do a certain london underground route after Berlin but have to get the permission first.
