I had my AC2 at a hotel near Gloucester Road station.
I had a call last week from tfl(trying to get me to rearrange).Was an unknown number. So that may well have been tfl.

If you havent been for any assessments yet then that email you got is to book your AC1 (SCAAT test, understanding info, etc).

When it comes to the actual AC1, is the SCAAT test based on triangle shapes or a forward /slash sign?
Ours wasn't. I suspect it varies day by day though.

You are right I have to book AC1 on 29 or 30 of Murch!
I cannot get day off on these dates:cry:
It seems my dream to write off completely 52 weekends for years ahead with only hope to become one day full time motor man is shattered completely!:cry:

Not sure yet, should be both I guess coz I was external when they told me tolook out for the ad. Not advertised internally as yet. Maybe in April as a lot of changes are happening as from the 3rd of April.

I was under the impression tfl can't recruit externally for full time operators? What changes start from April anyway?
I simply cannot resist to work for 21K and as mentioned above to shut down 52 weekends for years to come
I start on 02.01.17 with MTR Crossrail.
Just keep myself busy with an old application...
For some people not so fortunate to have succeeded in being offered a full time driver job with MTR this job is important to them and not something they are 'keeping themselves busy with'.
agreed, it is also a waste of TfL money as they train you, only for you to leave.

sfxdude, are you ready to start training? Can you share any tips for AC2? How did you find it and what happened on the day?
There were about 6 of us, some started with the rVce test, some with the interview. Interview took a good 45 minutes. rVce is exactly same format as practice material. Interview was very thorough and they ask you to go into lots of detail.
Cheers mate. whats rVce? Im waiting to hear back from AC1. Do you know if any of the other candidates passed AC2?
You get played a message and have to summarise it back basically. Nothing complicated.
No idea about others passing AC2, I have no contact with them!
Thanks mate...Hopefully i'll receive an invite to AC2 soon enough. I'm interpreting from the posts here that AC2 may be slightly easier than AC1??
For me, absolutely not. The interview was intense and I didn't feel I did well. The voice test I found easier but still, no time to relax

For me the worse aspect was the voice test. I have a mild stammer, so was a nervous wreck. The interview didn't feel too bad for me(not that interviews are comfortable or easy. I've just had a fair few competency interviews). They only asked additional questions when I didn't go into sufficient details in my answers. They seemed to be writing a lot down, whether this is an indication of success I have no idea.
The only funny thing was me & the other candidates were discussing whether the jelly beans were a trick. No one dared have one in case it meant failing.
However I'm still expecting complete failure. But the wait for results is killing me!

Sorry I should have said. There was a bowl of jelly beans on the table in both the rVce and the interview. Me and the other candidates were joking that the actual test was whether you ate one or not.
