Would anyone recommend doing an assessment off my own back?
Seen that you can do it before gaining a trainee role, big advantage?

Rather more expensive than Mr Mcmunn said it would be....

Any input would be appreciated

Big advantage? No not really, if you are lacking any of the other parts (life experiences etc) then its money down the drain because the Assessment pass wont make up for it.

If you have got what the TOC is looking for then they will pay to assess you.

Did this myself years ago with DB and It gave me no advantage whatsoever as I simply was not ready despite passing!, Like someone said above I was lacking in the other areas such as life experience/s.

Save your money and get it done for free through a TOC.
