At approximately 15:50 today, 29/08/08, a covert operation was mounted by the elite Pway team from Fareham, to infiltrate Northam Traincare facility and raise the colours.
Whilst depot staff dealt with the latest casualty of the Northam shunting policy, we took a victory location outside the wheel lathe.
After stealthly penetrating the outer perimeter, we then brain washed the wheel lathe operator into unlocking the check point barrier.
At the wheel was a military veteran with experience of Baghdad, Kosovo and Merseyside. As the barrier was raised, he raced across the concrete apron and secured the vehicle outside the wheel lathe office.
Like a well oil machined, the side door flew open and the highly trained professionals inside exited and went straight to work. The Pompey flag was raised and the FR sticker was seen to glisten in the sunlight.
After approximately 60 minutes of occupation, our point made, we commenced a strategic withdrawl of our forces and command post back to Fareham.
We believe we have sent a clear message to the German's that you can never be fully prepared for a visit from the Pompey boys.
