Next journey is 2J74 Wigan Wallgate (2130) to Man Vic, and finally 2N91 Man Vic (2223) to Blackpool North.

Been out this morning from Stockport sidings on 5S05 to New Mills C, then on local services from Man Pic until 5J57 to Newton Heath at around 1100. Out this afternoon on 5E86 to Man Vic, then to Huddersfield on 2E86, then 1F01 to Southport, and 5F01 to Wigan Wallgate, until 2J74.

Why not just pop out to Salford Crescent for it at 22:06? It's only an hour away!

Good reasoning. But since you've been hunting it for 20 years then maybe it's worth staying? Find a good pub in Mancc and then warm up there before heading out for it? Maybe continue this discussion in PM so we don't go off topic too much?

Did I see the PIS correctly at Andover this morning that the 09:20 Waterloo to Exeter/Bristol was formed of 11 carriages until Salisbury?

Hi all

I was at my mother in law's house in Otford near Sevenoaks on Monday 28th December at about 11am when I heard a loco horn that had me heading for the window. I could only see the top of it over the fencing, but it looked like a Class 60 with a long rake of cargo wagons travelling towards Ashford. Could anyone tell me which loco it was?

A few more from me for Monday 28 December please-

3 FL 66s sat at Bristol Parkway at 0800, 66414 was in the middle in the new colours and the shock of seeing it (bit ugly isn't it ;)) made me forget to write down the other 2, 66568 might have been on the East end.

The headcode for 70808/810 on 0415 Greenford east to Westbury-
