Scary thing is that I STILL need a load of Southeastern and South West Trains, not to mention Southern!!!

You haven't been at this game for as long as some of us mind, and don't forget the fleets in the South East are enormous so it will always take a lot of effort to get them done!

My attempts to ride my last East Midlands units which are 153311/57, 156401/11/13/15 and 222017 saw me take the 0657 Liverpool South Parkway (158799) to Sheffield yesterday.
Purchasing a Derbyshire Wayfarer I took the 0905 (158853) to Chesterfield and then the 0941 (222002) to Derby.
At this stage I had no idea what was where so decided to do the four Newark Castle to Matlock diagrams which were
156473 1013 Derby-Long Eaton
158770 1037 Long Eaton-Duffield
153313 1103 Duffield-Long Eaton
The last train should have been a pair of 153s. At this point I got information of the whereabouts of my units and it appears that 153311 should have been with 153313 so it must have been removed earlier in the diagram. The good news was that my next train would be a winner.
156411 1137 Long Eaton-Derby.
For the record the location of my other required units was:-
153357 156415 Not in service.
156401 Nottingham-Skegness
156413 Nottingham-Worksop
222017 St Pancras-Corby
Went for some lunch in Derby and got back to the station at about 1245. I decided to go back to Chesterfield until it was time to return home. However 221120 arrived with the 1318 to Newcastle. This was one of three Voyagers still required to ride, the other two being 221129/30. As this train did not stop at Chesterfield my next move was:-
221120 1318 Derby-Sheffield.
My final move was:-
158846 1440 Sheffield-Liverpool South Parkway.

So two winning rides 156411 and 221120 were not a bad days work for me.

I am doing absolutely awful with the stuff around London (GN, TL (hopefully won't last for too long), AGA, SN, SWT, SE, C2C, LO, LU and DLR with more to! (they are just the ones I can think of right now!))

C2C will be a lot easier come the new timetable where pretty much everything in the peaks will call at Limehouse, West Ham (& Barking)?

Linear bashing will be the order of the day, between Limehouse & West Ham (or Barking as I think Barking is easier to get around the platforms)

West Ham is a single island platform if I recall correctly, very easy indeed [emoji14]

Thanks guys! I need to get permission to open London up solo first! I'm hoping to do a week trip in June/July.

How can you travel on a DVT?

Unless you're a guard.

Or a bike!

:D

For most of us, if it's in the formation, it counts...

For those who absolutely have to be on the vehicle in motion, it's possible to stand on the inner end of it adjacent to the endmost first class carriage; there's a short space between the door to the guard's office and the actual inner end of the vehicle.

Don't call me a bike, or you'll be sorry you spoke! (get it?:lol:)

Indeed. For me, any driving vehicle in a loco formation gets counted, DBSOs et al.

Plus 159019 becomes member number 9 of the thousand mile 159 club :)

Thanks Lord Kite! Changed it now. I'm surprised that I managed to get one of the 2 319s that you need when I only had 4 for haulage!

Ta for the congrats on the 357s chaps.
I'm still needing 150105 to clear the 150s. If it goes back to the Marston Vale line i'd appreciate someone telling me. I think bb21 on here needs that one as well.

Best asking in the TOPS request thread, as I believe the 150 & 153 stays on the line all week swapping over on Sundays
