8. IN THE EVENT OF A WRONG ANSWER

If a submission to the quiz is incorrect, but there have been no further posts, the author may edit their post, so long as the original is shown as crossed out.

After striking through an incorrect entry, you must use reply rather than edit to post your new entry. This aims to prevent confusion to allow for smooth proceedings.

I have shown rule 8 of the rules of this quiz in case that new contestants are unaware of this requirement.

That wasn't a mistake, that was a deliberate post, and it was never edited. It was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but the real station name was there from the start. So no points deduction there.

Hall Road

Sorry, but since it was you who posted Hightown, you cannot then make a following posting of Hall Road, as another contestant has to be the one to make an intermediate posting.

I cannot work out what exactly happened earlier today, but it looks like you managed to post Morecambe first before it changed to Wennington?

The explanation you gave confuses me. If they were posted separately then it would appear as a Double Post regardless of what your browser was doing, and would flag as edited. In fact, the only way I know for something to not show as edited is if the edit occurs in the first 60 seconds. Could anyone who was around clarify what happened?

I will issue a general warning to everyone that post editing outside of the rules is taken seriously on this quiz, and repeat offending is likely to be interpreted as disruptive posting.
