Shame I don't play Trainz any more! lol

Don't bother with TRS04 or 06, get TC3, you know it makes sense ;)

With a Aspinall Saddle tank, a 3F, a 4F, an 8F, a Brit, a 9F, a 24, 37, and a brand new 40, it's fantastic

Of course I've only played a small bit of it out of Carlisle, but I shall be getting it soon

Plus we have new Mark 2s, the Midland Pullman, a 150/2 (150/1 on the way) a 323 on the way, and loads more kit to play with

Trainz Classics 3, the new version.

It covers the line from Carlisle to Skipton in the 1960s, when the changeover from steam to diesel was in full swing. Alot of new stuff, including better semaphore physics, better steam loco engine specs, and some newer bits and bobs thrown in, it looks to be the best TRS yet. :)

I might have to get that then, especially for the Brit, 9F and the diesels.

Indeed they do look great to be honest. I also loved the amount of things you could to in Trainz and how most things actually moved! Like the doors and the couplers/pipes actually connected.

Indeed, it's very interactive. It's also great that you control the points and you can hop from one train to another, and you get full control over the train, or, you can set the AI to do it for you!

Rofl at the AI trains in 2004 ;)

Would the stock from 2004 work in TC3? Doesn't matter if it doesn't as I lost them all in the HDD failure but just wondering lol

Content creators are updating their work to work in TC3, but some of it just goes straight in without a fuss.

Where do you guys get the routes and trains from?

Going through the thread, here's where they're from:

Voyager - Railwaves - Payware
37 EWS, BR sectors, etc - DLS - Freeware
MkIIIa (virgin and BR blue/grey) - Virtual Southern Region - Freeware
170 Turbostars - Railwaves - Payware
50 - DLS - Freeware
Mk3 (virgin and Intercity swallow) - Railwaves - Payware
66 GBRf - Railwaves - Payware
Mk3 FGW - Railwaves - Payware
313 NSE - DLS - Freeware
158 - Skodatrainz also DLS - Freeware
47 - Railwaves - Payware
33 - DLS - Freeware

With the 170s, I'd wait for Peter Hicks' 170, because it'll be freeware, and more realistic than the railwaves one (I can't wait for him to release it)
You might want to have a look at his 225s and Mk2 stock (some of his stuff is on the DLS, search username Peterdhicks)
