This is today's headline on BBC news.
"Eurotunnel services suspended after 'intrusion'"

The article makes no mention that ES is not affected and goes onto talk of long delays, with no possibility of travel by not previously booked customers and refers to Eurotunnel users as 'passengers'.

This is very bad reporting although typical and I wonder why ES does not take steps to deal with such. It's not the first time by any means.

Technically they're correct - Eurostar is not a service operated by Eurotunnel but simply another operator who pays access fees to Eurotunnel to use their infrastructure - but I agree it's rather confusing to the general public. All they have to do is add one sentence saying "Eurostar passenger services between London, Paris and Brussels are unaffected".

There was something similar mentioned on Radio 2 this morning and I had a thought similar to 'which'

Such confusion is not new. When the service first opened in the 1990s there were multiple occurrences of people driving to the old Waterloo Eurostar terminal and asking where the entry to the car shuttle was ...

Eurotunnel is a daft title anyway. All tunnels in Europe are in Europe. The car service is a car transporter, so 'Channel Car Link' would be better. Any suggestions for a snappier title? :)

I may be imagining it but was there not a proposal at one stage to allow cars to join Channel Tunnel car carrying trains somewhere in London (Kensington Olympia perhaps?)
