Heath, Powell, Callaghan, Benn and many more including Trade Union Leaders and other Notaries. Interestingly Wilson dodged Wartime Service as he was in a reserved occupation.

Cameron, Corbyn and Farron hardly pass muster compared to the aforementioned.

Once The Queen goes that will be the last elite connection with WW2.

I was sorry to hear of Dennis Healy's passing. He seemed a genuine type of person. I don't think any of today politicians are anywhere as near as good as the older ones and that goes for any of of the main parties.

That's because they're career politicians, they don't do it as a vocation or a calling. How else do you account for Jacob Rees Mogg?
How many of them worked their way up from Parish & Town councils?
