More trains than usual needing repairs

Virgin has just sent out a text message to tell passengers that the 1633 Euston to Blackpool has been cancelled. The reason they gave was "more trains than usual needing repairs at the same time"

Has VT been hit by a sudden surge of mechanical problems or is they maintenance plan going astray?

ATW have also said that the 16:50 Manchester-Llandudno will be formed of 3 coaches rather than 4. Presumably this means that the WAG us running as a unit today?

Just what I was thinking.

It just takes one incident for the wheels to pick up long enough to get a big enough flat and its out. I noticed the WSP on the 170 I was on this morning working harder than it has for a long while.
