Sandy and St. Neots Station

[Class 66's]

Hi all.

Do you think Sandy or St. Neots stations would be happy with 213 year old trainspotters on their platforms. Only asking because the ticket gate attendant at Peterborough was not happy with the prospect. Planning to go on a Saturday if that helps.

I've never seen any staff at Sandy when I've been there at weekends, although I've been visiting my son rather than trainspotting.

213 years old? wow, lucky you!!! As I recall the guidelines originally published by FCC a few years ago, trainspotters were welcome at any of their stations provided they kept to a few basic guidelines such as stay behind yellow lines, don't use tripods, don't use flash etc...

As to Peterborough that really does surprise me as I've never noticed a issue there!

I never had any problems under East Coast there. Or under NatX or GNER either for that matter.

I have been out on the bash solo since 12 (last year) and have never had any trouble. And it shouldn't make any difference anyway, as how would the station staff know that you are 12?

Do either St. Neots or Sandy have barriers, as I need to know whether to get some sort of ticket. I was thinking about going to Hitchin later on, so it won't matter.

I think St. Neots does have barriers. I don't know about Sandy though.

st neots has barriers on the bridge - never seen them closed.

Whenever I go to Sandy the exit through the station building is locked and you have to use the side gate which doesn't have a barrier.
