I've just left Leeds on the 1823 Victoria via Dewsbury service, and we're crawling through the suburbs seemingly stopping at every signal. Only departed 3 late, and only 10mins behind the previous Huddersfield service I bailed out of. TPE services particularly hard hit, delays of nearly an hour on some.

Anyone "in the know" about what the issue was, and how widespread the disruption is?

Reaction to a TCF at Skelton Jn (North of York) which strip-locked the route across the main lines and brought the job to a grinding halt for a period.

Thanks. There was also a tannoy announcement at Leeds that mentioned a level crossing problem, can't remember which service it was in relation to though.

I assume TCF = Track Circuit Failure?
