Stena Rail & Sail "Anytime" ticket with restriction code 1X

I've just bought a pair of Stena Line Rail & Sail tickets online, out from Edinburgh to Belfast, and back from Belfast to Brighton. Both have been printed as "ANYTIME DAY S[ingle]", route "CAIRNRYAN STENA", validity "ON DATE SHOWN". But to the top-right of the validity on the Belfast-Brighton ticket is the code 1X, which brfares.com says means that break of journey is not permitted. The ticket from Edinburgh to Belfast does *not* have a restriction code in the same place.

Is this enforceable? I was under the impression that Anytime tickets couldn't have restriction codes. That said, I can't find the Belfast-Brighton fare in question on brfares.com (though the Edinburgh-Belfast one is there), so is this just some kind of weird fudge in the booking system?

It is very rare that break of journey restrictions apply, and even rarer that they are enforceable.

The NRCoC states:

You can:
Start, break or resume your journey using trains on which your ticket is valid unless you are told about particular restrictions that apply to the use of your ticket.

Obviously you weren't told about any such restriction when you bought your ticket, which means you can break it and that isn't surprising because NRE makes it very clear:

Break of journey

You may start, break and resume, or end your journey at any intermediate station along the route of travel.

I doubt it is enforceable, but it is intended to stop you from using it as a cheap Edinburgh to London ticket.
