I was considering (for quite a while I might add) on getting the DCC with sound one with Trainload Coal colours. But I reckon a loco at $149 over a $349 loco was the better of the two for now.

I was also wondering about the RES Class 47 with Serco coaches and van for $189 (excellent value for a complete train of sorts). Seems like a good deal, but limited scope using it properly being only a test train...

You could always convert one of the coaches as some kind of rail head cleaner.

Ah, good thinking. I got plenty of old decrepit Hornby Mk1 stock that can be used for that purpose.
