....Of course it's none of my business and I'm not trying to dictate to people what to post but I've seen people dragged over the coals for this before and would hate to see anyone loose their job over a seemingly innocent and thoughtless comment on here.

It's great advice. I think the posting of photos from inside the workplace is also worth avoiding. Even though I, like many others, appreciate the opportunity to see them, it's not worth a black mark on someone's employment record.

But from being inside and being briefed on the matter. It's more of a point of pulling the company's name down, slagging off managers or other employees. Or publishing photos and information that's not meant for the general public.

Don't disagree with any of that. My point was that you clearly identified who you actually are to your employer and should you say anything in the future which they take exception to then they will know exactly who you are

It won't be a common pool of 4-car units will it? I've been told there are operational advantages with using a 377/5 on services extending beyond Cambridge.

An obvious advantage would presumably be using the 377/5s for portion working with a unit lost or gained at Cambridge. The through gangway giving it an advantage over the 365...

There was, and good old* said that the cascaded older Thameslink Rolling stock will become Thames Valley Commuter stock referring to the 319s. Close Paul, but this was one of the original plans, fairly new an 387s for us now!

*He seems to have a problem with the age of rolling stock, so I'll just highlight that bit for him.

To be fair to Paul Clifton, what he said was "many of today's Thameslink trains". He did not specify which type of unit would move but a generalised remark like that quite clearly encompasses the 387s which will move to GW routes.

the return in the evening though would be an issue, from the down platform at blackfriars to one of the bays. that would be chaos in the peak.

It would never have been all 12car.

It just means more 8 car thought the core - there would always have been plenty of 8 car though the core with 6tph 8 car via E&C in the original plan as well as some 8 car via London Bridge. This only caused an increase of 2tph 8car through the core.

And the change in order size for 1160 to 1140 cars overall

Not quite the first couple. The batches of 700 deliveries have already been announced.

Its not two minutes for most of the train. They could come into platform 4 as well as 3.

Your statement ignores is the Loop has years of engineering works and alterations yet would actually have seen a worse service as a result. Not that is that different putting services from Wimbledon to City alongside Denmrk Hill to Blackfriars bays as it is today.

There was never going to be an all 12 car railway as no-one wants to pay for the of getting all the platforms. Kentish Town alone would have shut a major road years and cost a lot of money.

8-car units for instance will be used for Tattenham Corner-Cambridge. Already a lot of station lengthening/SDO needed for that
