Hey guys,

I've been invited to an assessment centre & interview (yes both as stated by FGW below), for the position of a Customer Host based at London Paddington on the 10th of July in Reading.

I'm trying to build a career in the rail industry and this would be a step into it, foundations to my potential career you could say. I was wondering if anybody has any experience of the interview and assessment and had any relevant tips or helpful information to share, e.g. What to expect, good things to say and specific questions they ask etc.

All help is appreciated and sorry if this has been done before- I tried to Google/use the search function however didn't find anything concrete or too helpful, thankyou in advance!

The assessment is like aptitude tests- testing your mental strengths in relation to the job e.g basic maths/English tests like customer service situational statements.

The interview is more examples from past experiences like "tell me about a time when you had to offer great customer service".

All the best.

Going to this too. Interesting that they've not provided any preparation material. Does anybody else know if travel vouchers will be provided by FGW?

Care to elaborate? Also I assuming this means you had the interview? Though mine was cancelled due to train strikes.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Any last ditch advice before tomorrows interviews?
