Luggage on a 350

Not the most interesting topic or question - I usually do most of my travelling on Voyagers, but have a journey on a 350 tomorrow and was wondering which is the best place on the train to store luggage, i.e. is there a specific coach like there is on Voyagers? I would prefer not to end up with it sandwiched on my lap. Thanks in advance!

You need to give your journey details. To the best of my knowledge LM 350s only have overhead racks. TPE 350/4s may be different. The LM units definitely don't have a specific coach with a luggage area.

Just remember that Desiro seats have space for a medium sized suitcase underneath them. People always forget this. .

If there are airline style seats behind with enough seat pitch for leg stretching then put bags under the seat in front of you or not at all if there isn't one.

The overheads are quite big.

When travelling on a LM 350 with a large suitcase that won't fit the rack, I'll usually sit right at the end of the train in the airline seats that face the first/last set of doors - there's loads of legroom there so plenty of room to put a case in front of you and not in anybody else's way.

On all versions except 350/2, there are also a few tables on which you can park smaller items of luggage.

One good design feature of Pendolinos and Voyagers is that bar under your seat, which exists to prevent people putting luggage under their own seat and thus taking someone else's legroom. As with aircraft, the luggage goes in *your own* legroom i.e. the seat in front of you.
