Boundary zone extension

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread.

I have a gold card with London zones 1-6.

I need to get to Eastbourne (from Victoria) leaving lunch time on a Monday returning similar time the next day.

Greatly appreciate fare advice.

Looking at the week commencing Monday 27 July, there are Advance tickets on the Monday from Victoria to Eastbourne at £11 (but none left for the 20th) and Advance tickets on the Tuesday from Eastbourne to Victoria at £5. These can be bought online but you are limited to travelling on the train you have specified when booking.

Otherwise, your travelcard can be used with a £28.50 Boundary Zone 6 to Eastbourne offpeak return (not offpeak day return) which can be bought from a ticket office (on the day or beforehand).

Of course, it's £18.80 with the Gold Card so not worth bothering with the available advances. On the 27th at least!
