I guess the question would be, should there ever be a need to try and call a train at Meadowhall, whether the grandfather rights would be able to be applied

News to me that EMT's HSTs have SDO.

As najaB said EMT HSTs don't have SDO and so all doors are unlocked at these places. I think there may be more stations, although I don't know if any HSTs are booked to call at Beeston these days

You should have seen the face of the guard as he frantically shouted at those who tried to alight away from the platform when we used the freight line at Wellingborough one night. That is despite at least four announcements for people to move forward en route from London because the platform could only accommodate three carriages.

I think they should make another announcement after the train has come to a stop, something like "Ladies and Gentlemen, if you can't see the platform outside the window then don't open your door. Unless you want a free trip to A&E."

Im sure that when I last travelled on a EMT train and the platform was too short they announced this at the station before and told people to start making their way up the train ASAP. Think it may have been Long Eaton as it isnt that far from East Midlands Parkway (where I got on)

Possibly. But looks like the whole service was canceled rather than part of it.

Looks like there was a bus replacement on Saturday as well, did this happen Friday night/early Saturday morning and I only just noticed? Then again, no train with the code 6Y31 ran through the area on Friday or Saturday morning either, so I'm stumped.

The link posted earlier in the thread looks like a WTT coal schedule that has been cancelled off using the wrong delay code.

6Y31 arrived at site 2236 on Saturday evening (04 July). Due to the way possessions are planned the schedule for arrival/departure will be at the possession limits normally, rather than reflecting their final position in the worksite(s).

The train was due to depart at 1900 (origin Moothorpe) on Sunday evening (05 July) but was cancelled off following the derailment earlier in the evening.

As a result the work overran (further than originally forecast after engineering issues following, and unrelated to, the rerailing operation) beyond the planned Monday AM handback. Line was returned Monday (06 July) afternoon with a 50mph TSR, further tamping taking place as part of an additional possession Monday into Tuesday.
