Just saw an out of service fgw intercity train using the new north main line by perviale LU seems like an unusual movement any reason why?

Regular route, they use it to turn the HST sets round as they may of ended up 'wrong way' round from a previous routing. First class is usually at the buffers end in Paddington if that makes sense. The trains can run north through Perival before turning left onto the Greenford branch back towards West Ealing and then left again back to Paddington/Old Oak Common.

They are the booked set moves. The two booked moves are actually booked to go the opposite ways, the AM one goes via Park Royal first and the PM one goes via West Ealing first. However, on the day, for operational reasons we may go whichever way we like and the driver will take whichever route is given. We do quite a few short notice ones as well.
