Anyone know if any engineering works are imminent that create direct Derby to Lichfield City journeys like last Spring?
My parents want to go but don't fancy all the waiting around/ Changing at both Tamworth & Lichfield T V.

Thanks

Mitch

Looking at the planned engineering works until at least early September, there don't seem to be any works planned here.

From the above:

Lichfield Trent Valley High Level - Wichnor Junction (51,57) CC02
Mondays to Fridays:
1M76 1935 Newcastle - Birmingham New Street
Saturdays:
1M76 1935 Newcastle - Birmingham New Street
1E68 1747 Southampton Central - York
Sundays:
1V48 0810 Leeds - Plymouth (except 22 February to 22 March 2015)

Doesn't look like there are any imminent diversions then...

Apologies for going off topic but I understand that there is an ambition to extend Cross City services from Lichfield TV to Burton. If this happens there would at least only be one change rather than two. Once again I apologize for going off topic!

Thanks for the input Guys.
I'm probably going with them so was looking at something relatively cheap and simple like I did last time.
I'm considering train to Burton (we are actually coming from Nottingham) and then X12 bus to Lichfield. Alternatively I may have a look at buses from Tamworth.

Always seems a hassle going via New Street to anywhere 'north' of Birmingham when coming from the north!

And yes Derby-Lichfield locals would be good!

To be fair the changes at Tamworth and LTV are pretty good if you get the Cardiff train out of Derby. If and when they wire Derby to Brum and fill in the Alrewas route then an extension of the TV stopper to Burton will be useful. I expect a station at the National Memorial Arboretum would be quite successfull too.
