I have indeed read the UKIP manifesto, but it's important not to take each and every policy in isolation but take it as a coherent whole - after all, that's what it's supposed to be.
I'll amend my comment to the point that they all contribute towards that kind of attitude, even if in isolation they might be alright.
To some extent I agree with you there, although I would say the thing that contributes to the victim attitude is often not so much the policies themselves as the way UKIP campaigns for them.
So why don't they talk about them then? Instead of just saying everything bad is the fault of immigrants or the EU.
I'm not on the whole going to disagree with you about UKIP tending to unfairly blame immigrants and the EU for problems that have very different causes. I was addressing the specific point TheKnightWho made about UKIP policies.

She was bigotted against Eastern Europeans specifically, not any other Europeans or other nationalities, why? Because she was a bigot by it's very definition. Media bias to the Tory party tries to make everything look different or outrageous at every opportunity if it helps their cause.
I had a look at the
transcript of the conversation. The remark concerned was
GillianDuffy said:
You can’t say anything about the immigrants because you’re saying you’re, but all these eastern Europeans coming in, where are they flocking from?
This was the only comment about immigration in a conversation that seemed to completely change topic on each question. And it's probably worth bearing in mind that this would have been a comment made in the heat of the moment in quite a stressful situation (you're an ordinary person, suddenly confronted with the Prime Minister and a horde or press and cameras around you. I'd guess most people are not going to be at their most rational in that situation).
Let's look at what Gillian said:
You can’t say anything about the immigrants because you’re saying you’re
This apparently expresses a concern that talking about immigrants often gets you labelled with something unpleasant.
but all these eastern Europeans coming in, where are they flocking from?
We can deduce from that that Gillian is concerned about the numbers or Eastern Europeans arriving. However, notice the comment doesn't say anything bad about Eastern Europeans, so we have very little idea what has motivated it. I can imagine that someone who really is prejudiced against Eastern Europeans would say something like that. But I can equally well imagine that someone who has nothing against Eastern Europeans per se, is not prejudiced, but who is concerned (and perhaps misinformed) about the effect of immigration on jobs and knows that immigration from Eastern Europe is high, might also in the heat of the moment make that same remark.
In other words, there are lots of reasons why someone might say what Ms Duffy said, so based only on those words, it's not really possible to deduce much significant about the character of the person saying them.
Saying that someone is a bigot is a pretty severe accusation, and quite a nasty one too, which implies something fairly defective about a person's whole character. Yet you appear to have made that judgement about a woman whom you (I assume) have never met, apparently on the sole basis of two sentences that she uttered in the middle of this undoubtedly high-pressured situation.
Hopefully, the absurdity of making such a judgement is obvious
