Although you didn't say what type of train it was that you saw,
if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say it was the 4L79 Tees Dock to
Felixstowe liner train, hauled by 66588.

Where are they from and to? Lots of trains will carry these head codes.

Two from today (Sunday 26th)

FL 66 on cement tanks southbound into Crewe (Mcr line) c.1600 today?

2 x 150/2 on 1530 Manchester - South Wales (seems to be a regular arrangement - uncomfortable, but plenty of seats! :D )

Two from me for today 28th April please:

1) The Colas class 60 at Grantham this afternoon, 60 0x9; missed the middle digit! Would have been there at around 13.20.

2) The 16.09 Waterloo - Epsom - Guildford: 455 706 + 455 9xx.

There are no Colas 60s currently in traffic that are 600x9 (the locos being 60002/021/076/085/087/096). I'm assuming your working was the empty tanks off Rectory which although it had no reports did run http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/H27308/2015/04/28/advanced
This was reported to be 60021

RTT cannot give real headcodes (apart from GBRf) for freight services.

In place of a the headcode for DB/FL/DRS/Colas trains is a four
character code which is random and changes from day to day.

The crew probably cleared it off. If I were you I would call chiltern to ask.
