With the closure of the WCML NRE journey planner is offering journeys from both London St Pancras and Marylebone to Manchester. However the route from Kings Cross via Doncaster or Leeds is often quicker (and via Doncaster sometimes cheaper) but this is not offered unless route via Peterborough is selected. Is there any reason for this?

Just tried now, FOR IMMEDIATE TRAVEL between Manchester Piccadilly and London Terminals and it offers journeys mostly via LEEDS, though one via SELBY (and Hull trains). Nothing via Sheffield and EMT, but I guess that is slower.

How strange - I just did Manchester to London now and it offers either via Sheffield or Nuneaton and nothing via Leeds
