They have a few (Scheidt and Bachmann) that do at Euston I think, but the Shere FastTicket ones (the ones with the slanted screen) which are the vast majority are card only.

No definitely Card Only and the same at Wigan North Western too.

Not wanting to go off track on my original post but the following week there was a replacement bus service (Warrington to Crewe) and no way of buying a ticket at Bank Quay. The bus driver told me to get on and I alighted at Helsby (unmanned) to get a lift home.

Sometimes you just can't win ....

Doesn't surprise me, although usually a Daily Mail-escue thing. Same with referring to PFs etc as fines. Is there a link to the article?

In Wolverhampton, we have two VT machines that are card only, and one (of a completely different design) that takes card + cash.
