Football goal size increase.

On R4's Today programme, I heard of the plan to increase the 'excitement' of football matches, making for more goalscoring opportunities by slightly increasing the size of the goalmouth. I'm not sure that it will do much really but I suppose it's a sign of the times that a media driven change such as this is being proposed.

They should first try the idea at one end - the teams change ends at half time so would be fair to both teams. Then an analysis could be done of the goal differentials.

P.S. There'd be a queue to take penalties!

Even Victoria Beckham. McGowan and Rory Bremner both so much better than Jon Culshaw, who can only really do Tom Baker and Dubya so has to introduce them at every 'opportunity' - how cutting-edge is that?!
