Hello all. I have recently had a interview for a position with Northern Rail and had a email saying I have met the criteria at this stage and someone will contact me with regards to the next stage. On my Northern Rail careers page the status for this role has changed from invited to interview to On File. Can anyone tell me what On File means ? I don't want to say what the position is at this point its more the On File part im interested in. Thanks in advance.

I was showing "on file" while I was swimming around in the pool waiting for another vacancy to come up.
So it probably means you're on hold.

Not sure about now but when I was on file, after 6 months I was dropped and now have to apply from scratch for any vacancies, despite passing two interviews and psychometrics!

Good luck!
