tomorrow I'm going on the 9:00 from paddington to bath, will it certainly be a hst? Or will it be a 166? Just making sure. If it's not a hst I'll be a little disappointed but whatever. :|

It's guaranteed to be an HST.

The 166s do not currently operate beyond Didcot ( except north to Oxford ) and Bedwyn.

Except over Easter when Turbos will run services to Westbury and ECS movements will run as far as Bristol St Phillips Marsh.

That's interesting - are they running through via the B&H ( am I right in thinking the blockade is the Swindon line? ) or just doing shuttles between Bristol and Westbury?

No. The Blockade is at Reading, major diversions and which have been well publicised in one way or another on the Forum

Yeah, I'll try to find the thread again - I saw it by headline the other day but as I'm not planning to travel in the area over the relevant period I didn't really study it...

The 165/6s have been used on Glastonbury specials to Castle Cary for at least the last 2 occasions. There's a 165/6 4/5 car stop sign on platform 2 specially for that operation!
