Speaking of Hyde, I see they've loaned our young academy 'keeper, Ed Wilcynski, on loan. I imagine he'll certainly get plenty of practice there!

It's a bloody weird division, the Championship... Other than Derby, Bomo and Boro who nearly always win; and Blackpool, Wigan and Millwall who nearly always lose, there's not a massive gap between any of the other teams. We managed to win by 2 clear goals away from home for the first time this season, despite the harsh sending off of our leading scorer Nakhi Wells after only 46mins. We showed a bit of backbone today and ground out a comfortable win in the end, unlike last week where we sat on a point and lost it in the 90th minute. Now 10 clear points off 22nd place, but still too early to say we're safe. It might cheer you up that United's failure to take a point from your game coupled with Bradford City letting in a late equaliser, ruined my acca which would've paid out £5,000 for a 10p stake.
I note that Hyde once again fell to defeat, not sure if our young keeper was involved though.
The following season in the Conference Premiership saw them playing so poorly, with a residual team squad not worthy enough to play in that league, let alone the Conference North, and they were a total embarrassment and finished bottom with a record low number of points obtained and subsequently relegated to the Conference North.

Hyde are still bottom of the Conference North, now 13 points below the side above them. Just think, a couple of years ago they were in their first season the Conference Premiership where they occupied a mid-place position at the end of that season and I remember one match in particular when they produced a flowing performance at Ewen Fields which saw them beat Woking 7-0.
Of course, teams in the Conference Premiership are watched by scouts from Leagues 1 and 2 and in the close season at the end of that first season, three of their strikers and four of their midfield players left Hyde to join league clubs. It is bad enough to lose a couple of your best players, but to lose SEVEN..
