How many of these hoppers are still in service around the country on Network Rail?
In particular those that are still moving and working rather than just sat in a siding.

I know that a lot have been sold off in the last few years just wondering how active those that remain are.

There are a number still in regular use on the South Western Division of the former Southern Region, I see them at Eastleigh yard often being shunted around with other older ballast wagons. I also copped a pair in an engineers train passing through Basingstoke last weekend too. I am also away of a number being exported to Romania by DB Schenker for work over there.

Very few - The last in use batch was recently (in the past year!) used on a relaying job on the North York Moors railway, and the same set have visited Swanage. Whether or not they're still seeing any use since I don't know, I've certainly not seen any photos of them in use since last spring.

Ah, same time post by Monty - I'd often seen those Eastleigh one's being shunted, wasn't sure if they were still seeing use on the mainline, sounds like they are then!

In the Manchester area, a short rake of these were in use with a small industrial type diesel shunter during 2013, dropping ballast on the former Midland Railway South District line trackbed as far as East Didsbury, during construction of the new Metrolink line to that location.

Yes
We have 5 on the NYMR.
Bought from scrap last year and now in the process of refurbing them for service on the NYMR
