London midland new recruitment process

Applied to them 2 years ago,passed first stage then heard nothing for 12 months to be told no more external recruitment.
Had a letter today apologising for lack of contact by them and they have put in place a new recruitment process.
My application does not meet the requirements of this new process and I am now removed from the recruitment process.
I had actually given up all hope of hearing anything anyway,but over 2 years to hear something like this could of been a right kick in the danglys for some people!
Anybody any thoughts what the new process could be?

It's because the assessments have changed mate. If u passed the old assessments they no longer count and you have to resit the new assessments. **** for those who went through all that effort to be told it's changed!

I applied 2 years ago but took the test November 2013 ,it was the new stage one test which I passed.

Yes I remember the yellow sheet where you had to circle stuff on it,group bordon etc.

hmmmmm strange then!! maybe they have added something extra since! which you would have to also pass to be considered??

God knows.....but i know some companies still use the DFFT assessment as an extra to the new assessments etc or maybe their acceptance of your pass has expired due to the time between then and now?......i know our lot were told despite passing they still only had 2 years to be offered a position before needing to re take them! that 5 year acceptance is fading fast!

all speculation of course but i hope u get it sorted soon mate :)

It might be they have introduced online tests or a telephone interview or some other new way of filtering candidates

DFFT wouldn't affect it as I took it easily as an additional test once scores were checked

FGW is three years wouldn't surprise me if some require two years before a retake that's in addition to the enhanced score trouble as well

Could be that it just means all those in system have to start from scratch maybe?
Know a few posted on here they had passed first stage and then had the email saying no more external recruitment,interesting to know if any of them got this letter aswell.

Well I took the test with london midland in nov 2013 and haven't heard anything, my old man works for them and has said the lm are screwing over the internals as well by telling them they now don't meet the requirement. I gave up hope with them a long time ago, so hoping my db application will fit the bill
