Inverness to Stirling 28th March

I am touring Scotland by train in March and have bought the discount advance purchase tickets for all legs of my journey via one.

This is the leg from Inverness to Stirling on Saturday 28th March. Advance purchase tickets for this date became available about 2 weeks ago but they have so far not become available for this journey.

I notice that there is some sort of takeover going on in early April and understand that this is the reason why these tickets haven't been released yet.

Can anyone out there give me a rough idea of when, and in fact if, these tickets will be released.

I suspect that they have not been released yet as no ScotRail Advance fare seems to have.

The takeover has nothing to do with normal ScotRail services. Only the sleepers transfer to Serco on 1st April.

Keep an eye on things over the next seven days. Tickets for the previous weekend are on sale so they should be the next to be released. I doubt that none would be released as there does not seem to be any engineering work that day in the area.

Thanks for that. I bought tickets for Friday 27th March Kyle Of Lochalsh to Inverness a couple of weeks ago when they were first available but have been looking every day for the 28th trip.

I will keep on checking, even though on the NRE site it says that the 28th March are available.

They've finally just become available today so tickets now bought.

A good job really as if they weren't on sale by the end of this week I was going to have to resort to Megabus!!
