My other half went yesterday, said that it was utter chaos inside the terminal and the Piccadilly line wasn't doing much better

The Piccadilly line was broken from 8am and was even worse when I left at 3pm. At least there were lots of management living it up at T5 to help the passengers.
yes went in december but it wasn't open then!

Well, I was on a Piccadilly line train and I heard this annoucement.
This is a Piccadilly line service to Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5.

Visited on Wednesday 1700-1800ish and both the tube station and terminal were near deserted.

Well, when I was travelling to Terminal 5, I heard an annoucement saying
This is a Piccadilly line service to Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4
But on the board wit the minutes the trains were about to come, it said Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 but the train was heading to Terminal 4, then Terminals 1, 2 & 3 and I had to wait at Hatton Cross for the train to Terminal 5.

3 reasons for that:
1. The platform dot matrix had a Train Description (TD) storage issue so was showing the train behind/infront in error.
2. The wrong TD was set up by the east end signalling suite - quite likely!
3. The TD system was plus one or minus one TD, which means that they are in the correct order on the dot matrix, but not for the right train!
