Which was your most favorite job that you've ever had...

Dunno why I'm thinking of asking this, just am ;)

Mine would have to be either at 150 Transport Regt. or El Gringos Resturaunt :)

My current one.

Working on a pier, spending my time fixing fruit machines may not be everybodys cup of tea, but:

i. I havent actually had that many other jobs.
ii. My new boss, who bought the company only about a month ago, took some of us to Old Trafford for a Champions League game a couple weeks back.

same with a lot of stuff really - like coke machines. At Faro airport in portugal the machine wanted €2-70 for a can of coke (about £2)!!!

The secret is this: the house always wins in the end. so dont gamble...

Don't you actually fix the machines to pay out only so often?

Also, remember that gambling is buying fun, not investing money.

That's almost as bad as NEEC who ask for £1 for one... nah thanks, I'll get them for 29p at the stop just down from the station before I travel...

I'm a volunteer and I get free railtours with a certain steam loco.
19 booked so far this year, starting with York tomorrow...

all I get is free membership to allow me to vist when I'm not volunteering along with family for free, and I can drink as much tea and soup from the messroom for free (as long as you don't take the **** doing so!)

When you think how much the engineers drink in the way of tea, you won't put a dint in the supply, I've not seen one profetional engineer at uni without a cup of tea...

don't forget - you need your good old cafe that cooks everything in oil: my usual order is a Sausage cob with HP sauce when on the job, great when you're in the 08, it has a hotplate so you can do your own if you can be bothered - that's the secondman's job when he is fed up of waiting for someone to take the scotches and brakes off a load of wagons you're dragging out!

The one I'm doing now - I get to sit in a nice, warm office in a comfy chair and deal with trains 8)
