I’m brought to understand that the French railways purchased or loaned a number of Eurostar units. Is anyone able to state on which services they are operating on and from which Paris termini.

They operate suburban services in France. As Justin says, you can always see some at Lille.

The following sets (as far as I know) are currently on loan to SNCF:
3203/4
3225/6
3227/8
3301-3314 (ie all regional sets)

They mainly see use on the LGV Nord, being still based at Paris Le Landy, on the Lille-Paris corridor section services. Every now and then, one or two will head south to (iirc) Lyon.

It all depends on where SNCF have the shortage of TGV sets! You can still tell that they are Eurostar sets though...some still have the yellow front ends, whilst they maintain the "rounded-nose" of the Eurostar, rather than the more pointy nose of the TGV.

Cheers

This is the best image i have of a SNCF operated Eurostar,

As you can see there is very little livery differences, the Eurostars have their Yellow fronts painted White and the TGV logo on the sides. All Logos showing the Eurostar Brand have been removed.

Karl :)
Hmmm...For trains on loan, can't say that SNCF are taking very good care of 'em - At least in the appearance stakes!

Assuming they still have their TRE pickups though, does anyone reckon (Though it's very unlikely!) that a Eurostar set could run along RATP Métro lines?:D
