Well that was rubbish.
Well done Liverpool. We looked like rabbits caught in the headlight first half.
Eddie got it wrong today. Going two up front and losing the midfield battle was a crucial mistake. Then the two misses.
Rogers gets more breathing space.
Possibly, especially with the Suarez incident. Although maybe he just re read it and thought oops, guilty as charged. I'm hoping he isn't actually anti-semitic.
Well, the one match ban and £25,000 fine handed down to Balotelli should be another reason to make him consider matters.....but will it?
He is not a callow 16 year old boy any more, yet seems to learn nothing from his past handling of his personal life and the strictures that have been applied to him in the past.
Well maybe so but they don't get paid to be moral beacons. We have the likes of Alan Shearer who stomped on Neil Lennons head and then threatened not to play for England if anything happened to him, what happened? Nothing. Not defending Balotelli there either.
I don't think that's a fair example......
....I mean,no one likes Neil Lennon....I think his own mother used to stomp on his head.
Ha ha, you are a bad man.
I mean Balotelli is basically a dope who is good at football (Allegedly, I am waiting for some recent evidence).
Ha,ha,sorry,I couldn't help myself.
Recent evidence is non existent,I always thought he was overrated, seen some good performances at City, didn't see much at Milan although I didn't watch too much Italian football(Sunday's are boring enough as they are)but they wouldn't have sold him if they thought he was worth keeping.
I am sure Liverpool with off load him as soon as they can get someone who can score goals.
Well maybe so but they don't get paid to be moral beacons.
Yeah, nothing to argue with there. Suarez was always going to be hard to replace. He had a lot of baggage, but my god when he did his thing on the pitch with your teams shirt on he was a joy to watch. Balotelli just seems to have a lot of the baggage and not much of the talent. Suarez played with a joy that was incredible, Balotelli kind of mooches around. Mascherano as well would do some questionable things, but my god he played his heart out. He would be up in the referees face "His leg just came off" shrugging as if to ask "What did I do?". He annoyed me when he talked himself off the pitch against Man U though. Ha ha. It was a red.
I prefer the real gentlemen of the game though. Gary McAllister. What a guy. I was at Coventry away and he scored pretty much sending them down. He didn't celebrate. I recall him scoring against Bradford City away as well and then later taking a free kick and missing, our end were singing what the effing hell was that. He just had a laugh. Then when he lost his wife, got offered a big money coaching job at Liverpool but him and his kids were settled in Coventry. He stayed there. So much respect for the guy. Wish we had signed him 20 years earlier. Ha ha.
Ballotelli is just lazy....I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team,he's just like a spoilt child, you can imagine him at Christmas not getting what he wanted even if the house was full of presents....nightmare...he's like Violet Beauregarde!
Would someone care to comment why he is being paid FIVE MILLION POUNDS PER ANNUM for mediocre performances![]()
Sometimes persona out plays performance(Beckham had it at the end of his career)...lets face it.it's not hard to make millions in today's game...and as I said...I think he's overrated....there is talent there,he's not a bad player but I wouldn't want my team to pay his wages.

Because that's what Liverpool deem him to be worth. Pretty straightforward.
I wonder if he feels guilty about the amount he trousers ?
For his sake just as well his pay is not performance related
Is this symptomatic of the problem facing Football as a whole ?

I doubt their fans would concur with that![]()

Nah,Liverpool were just desperate after losing Suarez...they done the same a few years ago buying Carroll....had a decent previous record but didn't work.
Nor do they most likely concur with what Lolvren, Lambert, Borini, Allen or Mignolet etc are on. That's the risk the cub take when they buy or offer them contracts.
At least he's nowhere near a costly failure as Radamel '20 Minutes' Falcao.![]()
I don't agree, that for me was a great gamble,we pay his wages, see if it works and then decide if we want to keep him....I honestly think if he stays fit, gets a run of games and hits the form we all know he is capable of then we could have one fantastic second half of the season...."if" ...but I still would have Falcao in my team ahead of Ballotelli any day and I doubt there would be many honest Liverpool supporters who would disagree with me.
It's a hell of a lot of money for a 'wait and see' though because I don't buy the argument that it's fine because he is on loan. Add up your loan fee and wages and he isn't a great deal behind Balotelli, and he's not yours!
He could be successful though but I have my doubts. The same doubts I have about Balotelli as well, but he could equally have a fantastic second half to the season.
I don't think it's a lot of money in the context of things,if he scored thirty goals this season we would buy him and have one of the best strikers in the world on our team, that kind of striker is priceless if you ask me.
