In the end I didn't end up unscathed as last night's 17:19 was diverted to Leeds. A coach was provided from Doncaster but, unfortunately, all thoughts of delay repay were dashed when we arrived only 15 mins late.

If I remember rightly it was MkIV vice HST? There were a lot of set swaps yesterday to get HSTs on the last three down trains to divert them via Gainsborough to allow the possession to be taken for repairs.
AC traction continues to coast on the Down line today with full repairs expected to be complete for tomorrow morning.
Well it was electric - which is why we were turfed off at Doncaster. Normally it is an HST with there (currently) being no wires to Hull.

I thought that was the one - there was that much happening yesterday and as it wasn't one of 'mine' I wasn't paying too much attention to which train was involved (I just remember hearing that a 17xx was to be MkIV vice HST). As you say the 1719 ex-Kings X is booked HST for the Hull leg then ECS to NL via Doncaster.
