G'day everyone,
In the late 1980's I remember travelling from St Pancras to Derby behind a class 37 on a Friday evening. I generally caught the same train every two weeks or so but the class 37 haulage was rather hit and miss.
I can't remember whether the service was a 'Friday evening extra' but I'm guessing that it probably was. Can anyone tell me why on occasions the train was hauled by a class 37? At that time it was either class 47's or HST's on the MML.
Kind regards,
