Yes, broadsheet is a generic term for the more heavyweight papers. The FT and the Telegraph are the last true broadsheets now.

The Telegraph is not as "broad" as it used to be.

I only read The FT on Virgin Trains where it is sometimes one of the supplied Free Papers or on BA Flights.

I was under the impression that The Times was printed in both broadsheet and tabloid format,. Has it now switched to tabloid only? I take your point about the Guardian.

I seem to recall that The Sun was originally published in broadsheet format. Aside from the physical appearance I don't think it met any other of the criteria for a "broadsheet".

Daily Express and Mail were once broadsheets as well - in fact most papers were.

Can you imagine if The Morning Star was a Broadsheet it would be one page and only printed on one side

I always felt sorry for the sellers of the Socialist Worker, as in past days, I think it was the only newspaper that the vendors seemed compelled to unfold and to hold it in a way that the whole of full front page was on view. It must have given them arm strain to do this rather strange method of display.

You certainly can't excuse it or The Morning Star being responsible for the decimation of Forests as part of their production process

When I watch C4's Skint tonight I am even more convinced The Living Wage is a necessity to differentiate hard working poor people from the freeloaders and ****less individuals in this East Marsh area of Grimsby.

I appreciate it probably only represents a small minority of the residents but heaven help us. These people are brain dead............

What should be done with them ?
